What do you need?

First of all, you should think about where and for what purpose you need digital signage. Depending on its final use, different elements become necessary, such as a wall bracket, feet and a suitable support or, in the case of a new ad, a ceiling bracket. The field of Digital Signage offers a very wide range of options: you can use a simple support for tablets with a universal design, or the so-called multimedia totems, i.e. displays in the form of kiosk systems, but also a simple screen of different formats to be set up directly at the point of sale. An alternative option is to use an area in the form of a stand. This option is mainly used in larger extension sales premises, such as car dealerships. A series of accessories are therefore essential for Digital Signage structures, including:

  • one or more digital displays that can be used professionally.
  • Appropriate brackets for mounting displays on the wall, ceiling or other intended location.
  • A software for creating and managing digital content.
  • Assistive products for content delivery or control, such as a media player for photos and videos.
  • If necessary, a network for the distribution of individual contents adapted to temporary offers or current events.
  • Not to forget the tiny, but important components of the equipment such as cable connections.

Balance between software and hardware

The display should be placed in a strategic position in order to attract the attention of as many customers as possible. The optimal reproduction of the desired content is guaranteed by special brackets, which allow it to be used exactly in the intended place. In addition to the necessary equipment that you are now aware of, you will need to think about extra accessories such as wiring and additional storage media to store the current content, provided that they are independent solutions without connection to a network. Even with these solutions, however, external readers may be required, as well as data carriers necessary to reproduce the expected content.
